High Point Market is the biggest furniture tradeshow in the world…and I have the pleasure of going to spring and fall High Point Market every year. I see the newest furniture, which keeps me informed not only of design trends, but how manufacturers are responding to lifestyle needs.
For example, with more mother-in-law suites and additions on homes all over the country, what do you think is more important in furniture design now than it was before?! Furniture designed for all ages, for starters.
Your lifestyle needs have changed, too, haven’t they? They have…and they will continue to change. Maybe you can look back at the “before kids” chapter of your life and see differences. Or maybe you started working from home in the last several years, which changed a lot of things. Or maybe you have a different outlook on health now and are looking for ergonomical furniture.
High Point Market is ALWAYS an adventure, but this year was something truly special. I was selected as one of ANDMORE’s Fall 2024 High Point Market Pros, which made me one of FOUR professional interior designers (of the tens of thousands who attend) tasked with selecting the best products in the showrooms. There were products that caught my eye…but there were OTHERS that caught my imagination. These were products that push creativity. They had me envisioning how they could each enhance people’s lives.

This was the truly inspiring collection from HiEnd Accents, honoring the legacy of designer Tasha Polizzi. As a breast cancer survivor myself, I was moved by Polizzi’s work and story, given that she passed away from breast cancer eight years ago.
